we went to a whole other city three hours away to do not really anything...but stare at the north korean kids across the big river...and wonder at how another country can look more unfortunate than parts of rural china. weird. saddening...and altogether an excercise in mind-boggling daddy logic. its a 3hr+ car ride...so we can wander around for 2

shenyang must be super far south huh? what'd north korea look like? it's always south korea (except when it's about nuclear weapons or something) so there's never anything about north korea.

honestly. people in china are like that. you have no idea how many people would kill for your errr face? LOL and yeah, china (and asia) is just too preoccupied with looks... it's so disheartening and definitely NOT confidence-inducing... BUT I GIVE YOU A BOOSTER!!! (like those ones @ jamba juice!) only this is one is the special, courage inducing, like yourself one ok? :) remember to keep your head up! :) (and you have a hot japanese boy. psssh XD)

And ugh, yeah, Chinese people place a great deal of emphasis (wayyy too much in my opinion) on weight. Seriously, one of my cousins went to Taiwan recently and she got so much flack over her weight (even though she's perfectly fine!) and her relatives just constantly criticised her. But...don't let this verbal abuse get to you!!
