Double jaw surgery

May 21, 2011 23:17

It is still less then a week since I got my surgery. Yes, for those of you that don't know (which is more or less all of you, hurr durr) I have been scheduled for a jaw surgery for over a year by now. And this Tuesday it was finally done. It's been a real ride, that's for sure, since I believed it was only my upper jaw that was meant to be tended ( Read more... )

OH MY GAWD! 0.o

I've never been into surgery but damn I would be so scared.
When I was younger I was at a special hostpital a LOT for my allergy but it did not have that 'creepy white silent hill hospital' feeling to it.

Urgh! Nurses are a bit scary.

I'm so glad that the surgery was a sucess. ♥
Keep on making progress.

And let's hope that you'll not go through all of that shit again.

...I tried to think of out through another point of view entirely, to make it less boring-out-of-my-mind and more maybe-even-fun. Like... Insanity asylum! It didn't quite work, so... Yeah.
Ugh, I am really happy I have been able to stay away from hospitals because of allergies my entire life. I can stand hospitals, but I absolutely don't like having to do tests and blood samples and all that. (have done enough of that during this last year to last an eternity.)

At least my nurses were nice and told me they were proud of me and my first experience. It helped a little, at least to stop thinking about nurses in terms of Silent Hill.

But yeah, it's almost over for now. Just about... 3 months of proper healing and not enough of energy (god, I am going to be drained until UppCon, that's for sure), but then. A bite! Biting of threads with my teeth! It will be worth having gone through this. <3

WOW that sounds awful but incredible at the same time

I mean, it doesn't look like a nice experience, but from the outside, it's still interesting to know that detailed how the days after a surgery are for the patient or maybe it's just my curiosity as a nurse student

I really hope that you will get better little by little! =)

It was kind of awfully incredible. I mean, I wouldn't have it any other way (maybe minus all the vomiting).

Aaaaah~ That can explain things, but I mean, I've never heard or read about anyones reaction after a surgery, I would have loved to hear it just to know what maybe to expect. But everyone reacts differently anyway, so... Well. Still. |D

And thank you~ I am getting there slowly ^^
