Well, fuck.

My last wisdom tooth has started to come in. I've already had two of them removed when they came in on two separate occasions, and I had only three to start with. My dentist told me that this wisdom tooth would come in through the side, and sure enough it is.

Well, fuck. Because I can really afford to get this taken care of right now, right?

If it's hurting you, mix a little olive oil with some salt and just a touch of pepper. Soak a q-tip in it and then hold it on the tooth for a minute or so. It will numb it.

That's the only thing that gave me any relief last year when my wisdom tooth was infected.

That sounds so random it just might work. It just started being noticeable today, though, so I may try it.

I found it doing a google search for home remedies. And of everything that I found and tried, it worked the best.

And the worst part of it is that, with tooth pain, it's almost impossible to make it go away. Although my experience comes primarily from CAVITIES OF DOOM, in which all the naproxen, tylenol, and benzocaine in the world is not enough to make it feel better.

Try to see if you can find any clinics or something! They're around most places. And if you're willing to take the risk, sometimes schools allow their almost-graduating people to work on your mouth for cheaper too.

I've been very lucky with my wisdom teeth thus far. The two up top grew in straight, one on the bottom is growing in almost fine, and the other on the bottom is impacted but not bothering me. :)

I know that feeling about the pain. Usually if I don't move my mouth I don't notice that anything feels funny. As for clinics, I haven't been able to find any around here, though that's just through a brief search. The nearest dental school is about three hours away. :-/

As for my own wisdom teeth, I've been less lucky. The two that are already gone grew in poking out toward my cheek, which hurt like mad because they would poke the inside of my mouth. This one is growing in toward the tooth in front of it, which I'm guessing could have Consequences if I don't get it out.

Oh man, that's even worse than for me. I know of at least ONE clinic (but you have to get up way early in the morning on the first day of the month to call for an appoint one or two months later), and the dental school is an hour or two away (somewhere in North Jersey, at any rate).

Ooooh that all sucks. I probably would have been less lucky with my wisdom teeth if it weren't for the fact that I've had the three teeth at that spot before the wisdom teeth grown in removed. If my fourth one decides to grow in, I WILL have trouble, because that was is not only impacted but leaning towards my other teeth. I think wisdom teeth are overrated anyway. Even if, say, you have no problems with the growing in (like me) a lot of wisdom teeth or so week or come out with no enamel, so you lose them anyway. Not to mention all the other teeth have to move for them to come in. Also: if you have a credit card or something, I would suggest getting that tooth taking care of ASAP. I'm pretty sure that if it grows in it can break the tooth next to it and ( ... )
