JKR talks more about the epilogue (spoilier warning). It doesn't answer all my questions, obviously, because at least one main character is left out of the article. I'll get a hold of the actual interview after it airs.

I've love that idea of trying to contact complete strangers... (or not really, complete, if you did it at Agnes) ...but with that 1001 Journals thing, it still looks like trying to find gold.

I'm glad that she seemed somewhat unsatisfied with the epilogue. To me, that just screamed "DEADLINE APPROACHING."

As for Bookcrossing, I was really excited about that for a while until I ended up not finding any books ... for about three years. I still haven't found one, and it's too much of a hassle for me to enter my millions of books only to have someone in Argentina request one. But I hope it works out better for you than it did for me!
