I hate exercising. Hate hate hate hate hate hate hATE hAtE HATE it. It has never once given me an endorphin rush; instead, it makes me feel exhausted, sore, cranky, and completely inadequate. On the rare stretches when I've stuck with it enough to actually make a difference to how in shape I am, I've still never actually enjoyed it ( Read more... )

I've got nothin' for ya. I run when it's gonna get me a natural high, and the rest of the time, I conserve energy ....

See, how does that even happen? Do you have to abuse your body so much that it releases endorphins as painkillers or something?

I guess maybe it's all about your body loving you. Caring enough to release those endorphins before you can even feel miserable. ;-)

You've gotta find a method of working out that makes you feel good-- whether it's yoga stretches, or walking, or ... lifting your cats up and down.... or....spinning in circles in your yard....or...

Really. That's the way to do it.

How much do you walk/bike to places? Seriously, it's a super-easy way to get good exercise without it being a "workout". I have similar problems, actually. I hate exercsing, although I love going for walks, and doing certain semi-althetic things (dancing, kickboxing, playing with swords).

It's been really hard this year, because I have no one to work out WITH, so all I've really done is walk, walk walk, EVERYWHERE. It does actually keep me in a healthy amount of shape (although I'd still like to be in better shape....darn you fencing-body I once had and now want back...but have no one to spar with...).

Ganbatte!
