awwwww, they weren't so crazy. Most of the rhetoric was focused on fiscal responsibility, it being Philadelphia and all. I heard somewhere (from Kemidra maybe) that people were talking about burning books and firing professors elsewhere... ;-p

Susan, I'm the student who's taking your Design for Journalism class and who stood next to you at today's protest rally. I like how you were able to capture the event with pics, audio, and video. Great work putting the entire presentation in timely manner and nice detail.
Fiscal responsibility is more complex than these groups may believe. In some case you have to spend now to save later for example a state ignores repairs to a road until it can be no longer ignored. Yet, had these repairs been done earlier more money might have been saved. Also I believe fiscal responsibility can be code for disagreeing on where tax dollars should be spent.
I know it’s a bit juvenile but I can’t help laughing when I watch the news and hear the phrase “by tea-bagging their senator or congressmen”.

Thanks for the note. It was the best I could do in a very short time, so there was little editing. I'm glad you came out.
PS: I have your photo!
