Hello all!

Before I launch right into my usual habit of prompts, rules and praising our our fantastic authors ^.^, I would like to raise a point here.

A couple of days ago someone mentioned that the Susan/Caspian fandom (the Narnia fandom in general, really) was starting to get quiet. This was predictable--the post PC craze simply died down--but that ( Read more... )

after this long? you really shouldn't, it's just another ingenious way that I procrastinate from doing homework, roflcopter. whoever said that being in college made you more dedicated to your schoolwork lied, I'm almost done with my AA and still have to force myself to do my work, :).

To be honest, I think the drop off is probably at least as much due to the time of year (i.e. the return to the academic term) as it is to people losing interest in Narnia fandom. I haven't lost interest, but I'm quietly trying not to die under a heavier-than-it-should-be courseload this fall, so all of my fandom involvements have suffered - Narnia, Torchwood, Crime Dramas, etc. A large portion of fandom in general is involved in academics in one form or another, and as a result there's always a crash period when classes start back up again.

At least, that's my experience. Although, granted, I got hammered much more severely this year than I expected. Literary Criticism to 1900? Is not a class. It's an exercise in masochism.

I agree - I think it will probably (hopefully) pick back up a bit once we get into November and December. But that doesn't mean we can't have an 'event' of some kind anyway!!

Oh, totally. I just meant that it wasn't necessarily a waning of interest so much as a splitting and deferment of resources.

Entering and attempted to post entry, but LJ is being a total asshat when it comes to LJ-cuts so I just deleted the entry before I make people want to gouge their eyes out.

Honestly, did LJ change its code?

Is it still

It's always been:

lj-cut text="visible">cut material

I hope Miriel's reply helped. If not; I always make cuts the rich text way. Click a button and write the text is all.

I tried doing it the rich text way and it wasn't working either. I usually do do it the rich text way and for some reason, highlighting the text I want behind the cut, typing in the cut text doesn't seem to work anymore. Which makes me all in all annoyed. But I have to bring in my laptop to get fixed which includes all my stories and so I don't know when I'll be able to get it posted.

Thanks guys.
