I'm looking for a job. Is there some place in this town that lists what things a person could do?

[She pauses, then speaks again, with a bit more of an assertive tone]

[ third time's the charm right? this time, she has given her word to both bones and jack that she'll try and be a little softer with the program.

so when she comes across while on a nightly patrol -- red slayer scythe resting casually on her shoulder -- buffy does her best to smile. warm-like. friendly. ]

[Well the weapon on Buffy's shoulder definitely makes the Siren stiffen, stopping in her walk.]

[No frown. No smile. Just a look of trepidation.]

[ buffy does smile and manages to hit upon the one subject that leaps to both eyes and mind. ]

That's cute. [ she means the dress. ] Super cute.

[Flattery is something that does work quite well with Gem. She smiles slightly, looking down.]

Left over from the last shift.

[She had bought it for the festival. It was more revealing than she normally likes, but it was warm, and less people were staring at her circuits now.]

User clothing is much more...freeing than what we have on the Grid.

I'm certainly bored. But there's not much I can do about that.

And why is that? Aren't there schools here, places in which to better ourselves?

I'd love to go to school.

But... [Slightly dramatic sigh. (She's really bored.)] I can't.

Attempting to find a way to break our bondage here is going to take a while.

Hey, I still haven't resigned myself to staying here yet. [Sort of. Except for the part where he's settled quite nicely into his apartment.]

I'd rather focus on getting back home.

[She pauses]

I'm working with someone. We're attempting to find patterns in the shifts. Things that might help us out.

I'm not sure if there's a list, but... is there something you're particularly good at? That's how I found mine.

The things I'm good at...I doubt would be much use, here.

[Well one she's already putting to use, but that isn't really for a 'job']

Then is there something you're interested in picking up? This place is great for learning new things and gaining time-consuming hobbies.

There is so much more here than in my world. Things I know nothing about.

Is pretty boring have to admit. [ But he amuses himself with everyone else's antics. It's what he does. ]

That's not the point. Point is...making this a vacation of sorts. Er, well, without the bosses around makes it nicer. [ Crowley wouldn't want his around ever or even coworkers. ]

Sure is. Or maybe it's everyone else's for being so bloody boring.

How do you really find this to be a vacation? You're in bondage. A boring bondage, but still bonded.
