So tomorrow is my graduation ceremony, the biggest day in my entire life. And this morning I woke up with conjunctivitis. Goddamn. Thankfully it wasn't too bad, but I still went to the doctor because I didn't want it to get worse. He prescribed me antibiotic eye drops (and of course my school health plan doesn't cover this particular antibiotic ( Read more... )

damn, talk about crappy timing! Just curious, what kind of antibiotic drop?

One of the pharmacist I work with called in sick earlier in the week due to an eye infection. He described it as his entire eyelid being crusted over (sooo gross) so it could be worse!

Moxifloxacin. I have never heard of it, but from the name, I guessed that it inhibits DNA gyrase, and of course I'm right.

From Wikipedia: "Quinolones, in comparison to other antibiotic classes, have the highest risk of causing colonization with MRSA..." Well, that's just great!

I suspected it was moxi :) one of the more expensive/not covered antibiotic eye drops.

Of course every fucking prescription I'm given is always "the most expensive/not covered" one. Goddamn. At least it was $25, not $60! The doctor did try and see if he had a sample to give me, but he didn't, so had to prescribe it.

I hate glasses so much as well. They are uncomfortable and get in the way and mess up your hair. People say I look really good in glasses, but I prefer contacts! I hate wearing glasses when I'm meeting up with a guy, but guys always say I look good in them.

That's fucking sucky. I don't seem to get sick much and I'm glad but I think that makes it worse when you get anything. It feels like it's so severe.

Will you post pics of your graduation for me?
