On my commute home today, I had to take the skytrain. At the station where I boarded the train, there were several people exiting and boarding, and despite the train not being very full since it was late in the evening, some inconsiderate douchebag on the train was blocking the door, making it quite difficult for people to exit and board. Since I ( Read more... )

Ugh, I hate when that happens! As you know, I have mild mobility issues, so of course I would like to be near the door when it is very close to my stop. (saves me from having to go through a crowd of people) However, I would never block the door so people can't get in and out!

people here do that, the middle of the car is skeery! and in rush hour, if you're blocking routes, and don't move when asked, well, you only get asked once, ahem.

Lately we've had yonks of rambunctious highschoolers horsing around on the crowded cars at rush hour, huge packs and shoving and goofing off. Ugh.

There was a recent, in the last weeks, casual survey that noted people really DON'T move to the middle of the train.

But still, its not as bad as Vancover. Only at smack dab rush hour did I have to wait two trains to get on at King St ( smack in the financial district!) trains every 3 minutes! Oh woe...oh...nevermind.

The stupidity and inconsiderateness (??) of other commuters boggles me.

One of my pet peeves is when, on a crowded bus, someone sits on the aisle seat, blocking the empty window seat so no one can sit there.... I don't care when it's empty, but when people are standing because there are no other seats, MOVE THE FUCK OVER!!!!!!!!

People do it all the time.. soooo annoying.

I refuse to sit by the window, unless I am sitting with a friend. And if people want to sit, they can ask me to move. However, I usually stand. People will offer me a window seat, but I always refuse--if I wanted a seat, I'd ask!

Just curious... why? What's wrong with window seats? I actually prefer them... I can zone out and stare out the window and ignore everyone else...

I'm not in the mood to get into it, but let's just say, it gives me a quick escape. But I assure you, I am not rude when sitting in an aisle seat (which is rare, anyway). But if someone really wants to sit in an empty seat and can not get to it, they should have the balls to ask.
