As for that woman- what the hell is wrong with her? I can't stand people like that. I don't know if I would have intervened either, but I will say I HAVE intervened once before. Crazy people.

The woman was so rude, full out YELLING at the driver. And her accent, and very unattractive appearance, just drove me crazy! Ugh! I was so thankful when she got off! This was just not a situation that really called for any intervention, as it probably would have gotten worse. At least we all knew when she was getting off, and it had not escalated to physical violence.

Still, transit courtesty here is better tho, if you act like an arse-wit, someone will likely point it out to you. if you're blocking doors deliberately, you WILL BE MOVED.

Interesting. Here in Vancouver, the culture, it appears, is to be rude and inconsiderate.
why should he thank the guy, wasn't he just doing his job?
Had the bus driver just been 'doing his job', he wouldn't have waited! They are under no obligation to wait if you are not at the bus stop, and waiting for someone is a nice courtesy. Too bad the guy was too oblivious to realize that "Hey, someone did a nice thing for me, maybe I should thank him!"
