A few minutes ago my phone rang. It wasn't a number that I recognized, but I picked it up anyway. I said 'hello?' a couple of times, and the person hung up. Pissed off, I called the number back to see who would answer, and some guy answered in Chinese or whatever, and I hung up on him without saying anything

Heh, the only thing I can think of is that maybe the person didn't speak english, so didn't know what to say? :P

One time my mom got a phone call from Spain where this woman kept arguing that she HAD called the right number, and my mom needed to let her speak to the person. She called back 3 or 4 times!!!

Still, he could have mumbled something in Chinese, even if I couldn't understand, and then hang up. Hanging up on someone when you called them is fucking rude!

Oh, true, I've just never ran into anyone who did that! It's the only thing I could think of. People are probably more rude in the city.

This happens every so often. It's not uncommon.
