For the life of me, I just can't get these words straight:

-cleisis = closure
-cyesis = pregnancy
-clasis, -clasia = act of breaking up
-clysis = irrigation
-ectasis, -ectasia = dilation, expansion

Exactly!

I love the class, and I'm pretty good at learning the words and remembering, but there are hundreds of words we have to know, and we could be tested on any of them.

Mnemonics?

ecstasy = orgasm = dilation of the eyes = ectasis?
lye = liquid = irrigation - clysis?
clash = fight = breaking up = clasis?
cyst = bodily lump = pregnancy = cyesis?

I don't have one for cleisis though. Sounds kind of like closure.

Mnemonics for this class would just make things even more confusing.
