The people in MICB 202 are fucking morons, at least judging by what people post on the message boards. So far nothing quite as stupid as
"Are paper tabs/paper clips/staples/folding pages OK?" (MICB 202 exams are not open book, as explicitly stated on the course outline, but I wouldn't be surprised if closer to exam time, people asked if it was

About feeling old: I just discovered that one of my classmates is 23 and in the Master's program. That made me feel old, which is probably dumb. But holy crap, that is young to be in a Master's program in Social Work. No wonder she looks so young! People tell me I look young (I'm 27) which used to piss me off, but it pisses me off more when they make stupid comments like the one you have described above.

I'm glad someone understands!
I know someone who was 22 and working on his Master's in Physics. And he had two undergrad degrees--one in math, and the other in physics! No, I don't feel like a loser at all!

honestly, yeah there's some idiot young undergrads but not everyone is..i've been able to get along with a couple of my classmates who are a lot older (think in forties)...there was also one who was 28 and a freshman in college. I don't think age necessarily has anything to do with it...idiots will be idiots forever.
when you hit third year you should be taking classes with hopefully more serious students..i've noticed (at least in my school) the idiotic ones quit after second year. it bugs me when teachers assume thing too! it was a class of freaking 500 + people and teacher kept talking to us like we're alcoholics. It was a biochem class and everytime the subject of fermentation would come up she would be like "well i don't need to tell you about that, you already know more than enough about beer and getting drunk. that would just irritate me because it came up SEVERAL times.

That comment about fermentation would piss me off too! Not everyone in college is a stupid drunk frat boy or twitty twat who gets drunk every Friday night! Some people in university are actually there to...learn!

But you're right, we probably have a lot more life experience than most undergrads which will definitely work to our advantage once we've graduated and already know how to live/work in the REAL WORLD.
