I like that Dave is really making an effort with you. I think the more they do these things makes them realise it's not that hard after all.

It's funny, when you're in a relationship, you (as a woman) have expectations, such as the guy will hang out with you, think about you once in a while, etc. Yet when in a relationship, they don't do any of that. So what's changed now that Dave and I aren't in a relationship? Well, I have no expectations, yet he does all the stuff I would want him to do if we were in a relationship! It's great--he does stuff with me/for me, and I am not disappointed! Not being in a relationship is great!
