Perhaps they changed from raisins to coconut, but either way, there was a gross kind! (It's probably been about 20 years since I've last had these cookies, so perhaps they changed over the past two decades!)

It is hilarious that someone reviewed them, especially as his review is so true!

Because I was bored, I emailed him about the article (his website is up to date, and at the bottom of the article, it says that he likes email), and he replied back. Yeah, I'm a loser, but I loved the article!

omg I totally remember those!! they are a staple of grandparents, and I see the tins in old people's homes, holding their sewing stuff and whatnot. I used to just eat the flat disk ones and swirly ones. hahaha this is so neat! thanks for sharing it.
