I can totally understand! It really isn't that hard to call for 2 minutes and say hi is it? It just means that they're communicating and touching base.

On another note i've been thinking about your situation. While it's easy for me to judge you and say don't go there, I'm pretty sure if i was going through the same thing i'd welcome him back with open arms as well. Good luck with it. I hope the path you're on is easy and rewarding. :)
