Crotch update

Because I'm sure that everyone want to know about my crotch, here's an update:

On Tuesday evening, my cyst came back. It was small, but pretty tender, on Tuesday evening, but swelled up a lot on Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon, I called my doctor to see if I could come in on Thursday, but apparently, he closes early on Wednesdays. So I left a ( Read more... )

I'm so glad you are finally nearing a resolution! Get that damn thing removed (the gland)!!! Even if you miss a day of school, better now that in the middle of exams. Which antibiotic did they prescribe? Well hopefully you'll be able to finally get the gland removed, but surgery does sound a bit scary, do you know if you'll be anesthetized? Hopefully you'll be well enough to come to my ceremony on the 10th :)

In my entry, I linked to the type of antibiotic I was prescribed (click on the word "antibiotic"). The reason why I linked to it was because I was curious about the antibiotic, of course, and I thought to myself, "Probably no one will care or be interested in which antibiotic I was prescribed, but [my sister] will probably appreciate the link." And I was right.

After they booked me for the 8th, I thought about your ceremony. If I can make it to class on Tuesday, I will certainly be able to make it to your ceremony. I just hope I can walk properly in heels.

I'm pretty fucking sure I will be anesthetized. Actually, they asked me if I had any allergies to any anesthetics, and I told them that grandma had a problem with something, but I couldn't remember the name and said it's something like "cholinesterase" deficiency (I forgot the "pseudo" part of the name).

ha ha , yes I realized the link was there after the fact, so I did click on it! Thanks for thinking of me, but you know I'm curious about these things as a microbiologist and almost-pharmacy student ;) I definitely hope you'll be up for the ceremony, and that the surgery/anesthesia goes well (still kind of scary, but very necessary)

PS, me and Justin had the blood test and apparently we were on the low end of normal, so you might be too. But as long as you have mentioned it to them you should be ok

What gland?
And remember to take probiotics or at least yogurt with live culture in it after the antibiotics.

The bartholin gland (I've mentioned it in past entries, which I linked to, so I didn't bother repeating myself). I know yogurt is good for preventing yeast infections, but I hate yogurt, so that is not an option for me. I'll just take the fluconazole after if necessary.

I'm sorry I didn't respond to this the other day, I didn't know what to say, except...I hope you obliterate that thing once and for all, and soon.
