Not only is my math teacher hot, but he's an awesome teacher. He's really clear in his explanations and presentation of material, and his pacing of teaching us new material is not too fast or overwhelming. He's not one of those teachers who spends the entire time talking, with the students taking pages and pages of confusing and disorganized

I like the sound of that teacher.

Bored distracted students are spoiled high schoolers not realizing University-level courses are a whole new level of think space. They'll either wise up - or disappear.
And from the sound of the teacher - either will happen quickly.

Morons like that piss me off. You can bet that they are not paying for school themselves. They don't realize how lucky they are to have the opportunity to get an education. I think education is a right, but sadly, only people with money get that right.

But also - give them no time. If they get in your way, kick 'em.
Unless they're in your way though - ignore 'em.
They're not worth the bother and they help pay to make sure your classes keep going....

(Yes I'm a little harsh. I've got 10 years of first and second year classes - and by second year they're already mostly gone)

Heh, listening to an ipod is nothing. I've seen people bring their laptops to class and watch movies the whole lecture.

ya, i know *few* people who watch youtube or other crap on laptops all lecture. sonetimes you can hardly blame them though (some lectures aren't worth listening to), but math is definitely a class you should pay attention in!
