Horribly Stupid Tax
Yesterday, a tall coffee at Starbucks was $1.84, including tax. Today, with the HST implemented, the same cup of coffee is $1.96. In addition to costing the consumer more, it will decrease the baristas' tips: every so often I put my change in the tip jar, which was $0.16. Now, it's $0.04.
