My name? [pen makes several small, nonsensical scratches as she considers] I think it was something I was called before. Now that I think about it, that sounds a bit silly, though. Named after a direction...
Well, you are, too, aren't you- and I kept the name, so I don't have any right to complain about it now.
I don't think you really have to worry about the color of your skin, though. Lots of people around here have their quirks. I have really strange eyes for one. And I think I read something about another girl around here who has green skin... Never talked to her myself but she's around.
Oh! And about the job... Well my roommate East really likes books and works with them. Maybe you should talk to him about a job.
A little different? And I don't suppose you're colorblind?
In any case, it doesn't really matter. It's not as if I really care about appearances. Ha. What a silly thing to be concerned about.
You said you were called Soul, correct? Do you mind if I ask the name's origin? East has asked after my own name, so I assume it's considered standard protocol within the introductions.
There's a variety of... different people here. Or at least that's the impression I got. You'll hardly be the strangest thing here, at any rate. Right now our buildings are made out of blindingly bright block-things called Legos.
There might be a bookshop that's hiring, if you walk around the Marketplace.
Hmm. Somehow that assurance makes me only more concerned. It feels strange to think I might be considered normal here. I'll have to keep my eyes out, if this is such a place.
Mm, yes. The bookshop seems to be the general agreement so far. You say it's in the Marketplace? Is there somewhere I could find directions?
Don't ask me about that stuff. I've no idea what it's made out of.
Well, a bit of caution's a good thing, but trouble generally comes from people other than those who look a bit strange, on the account of everybody watching them.
I'm not familiar enough with it to give you exact directions, but if you ask somebody else, they could probably help. It'd be worth it to rummage around the place a bit, anyways, if you're looking for a job.
Being someone who "looks a bit strange" myself, I would never, of course, assume that's where the trouble started. Trouble seems to start around me no matter what the people look like.
That's perfectly acceptable. Soul and her roommate East are currently helping me with the employment issue. I appreciate your help, though.
I suppose I will run into you some other time, in these journals, so, until then; may your trails bring you safely to your destination.

So you all keep saying.
Well, apparently I'm not all that unique here, either. I've heard there is, in fact, another person here with skin like mine. You wouldn't happen to know who this was, would you?

Er, if I may ask- how did you go about choosing your name?

Amazing. Someone else who's as unfortunate as I am.
Still, even here, that can't be common, can it?
Thank you for the suggestion. It appears that your roommate has already written to me, so I'll make sure to ask him.

Aww... Not unfortunate. Just a little different. No good looking at life like that.
I saw. Guess he's a faster writer then me. Good luck on the job hunt anyway.

Enchanted. Like I said before, I am West.

I really doubt you'll have any problems with people judging you on your appearance... I think it's cool that you're so unique, actually!
