you know-- i'm not one to read anything outside of my three fav fandoms ('rk', 'iy', 'labyrinth') except the occasional 'spirited away' fic, but i read this and i liked it (i'm not going to suddenly start reading 'trek' fics-- i have too much to read already).

i like the crass, emotive jim contrasting with the logical, well thought out spock. one would assume that since even vulcans have friendships, he would need friendship just as much as any full human would. GREAT JOB!
