Ooof. My dad was telling me about how damn cold it is there. And that he's already looking at when to announce school closings because even if Hell froze over, they wouldn't send kids out into that.

Me? We're not as cold, but buried in snow.

Stay warm!

Seriously, my nephews are already getting excited because they've had 2 weeks off for the holidays and are supposed to go back on Monday. But if it's that cold? Probably not! I'm even thinking of taking a vacation day for work, because I'm afraid I'll get out at quitting time, late at night, and my car won't start!

Better to stay home and watch movies.

Feeling your pain. I'm an hour outside of the cities and they're forecasting the same. I pretty much wish I could go to bed and wake up in April.

It's that kind of cold where your clothes crackle and crunch and all the fluids freeze inside your nose. AND THEN SOME. Bleah.

Holy crap, Batman! (Actually, Batman would have his wings folded tightly around him hiding in a cave somewhere).

I generally don't mind the cold and braved temps in that zone when I lived in the mountains, but it's not for mere mortals. Might as well live in Antarctica.

My only (very lame) piece of solace is that once the temps drop past a certain point, it doesn't really matter anymore. It's just EFFING COLD!

Also, take the day off. That level of cold is extremely hard on any kind of equipment, especially cars. Hell, even your tires will be brittle at those temps.

Sending you warm, cozy thoughts.

I took the day off! Heh. Just don't want to deal with it. I have a feeling there will be a lot of dead batteries that day. Heck, even the local grocery stores have announced they are closing on Monday. So I'm sure they'll be a madhouse on Sunday.

I shall see if I can send you some of my sunshine...

YES, send it. At least if there is sun you can absorb some warmth. IT's all grey and misty and dank here right now.

That sounds totally vile. I hope that it gets better!
