Sam/Jack - subjugation- adult (why am I writing all my own prompts?)surreallisNovember 4 2007, 00:53:55 UTC
She has no idea why this is happening, and she’s not sure she cares anymore. Neither of them has gotten a little too close to death lately, they haven’t lost anyone, and it’s been easy to just be friends. So why now? Why, when she woke up less than half an hour ago and found him lying next to her in the darkness, did their eyes meet and hold in such a different way this time

Oh, I'm so glad! I'm still a little confused about what I was trying to convey here, but I think it's something about how despite Jack's position of power over Sam, it's really been Sam who has the power. I think that's an interpretation that many people don't see, and it intrigues me.

Yep. And I really like how there wasn't a *reason* for this just a random build up to it suddenly, inexplicably, finally happening.
And I feel like Sam didn't realize right away how much power she had - it became clear later and then she used it and was okay with it and in the end she's the one in control....
It's like...in the beginning it's the way he's looking at her and so in the beginning he made the choice and he had the power (and he made the first claiming with what he did physically) but then it all shifted and she controlled what they did and how it ended and in the end he's the one who feels...spent and content yet frustrated and powerless and she's the one soothing him and...*flaily hands* it's all there!

*blink* I...I just read Sam/Jack. Adult Sam/Jack and I didn't run away screaming. I didn't know that was possible. Holy crap. This worked. It's just all kinds of fucked-up, and it worked.

lol! I know. There's a LOT of Sam/Jack out there that will make your eyes bleed. I swear though, there's plenty of Sam/Jack that is powerful and hot and beautiful and that just works so very well! Lucky for you all, I know those people who write it. :P
Also, I love fucked up relationships, so nearly everything I write tends to go that way. Heh.

Ooh ooh ooh - yes. Because a lot of their relationship is about power, really, but the fact that Sam is the subordinate kind of gives her the upper hand, and - mmm, kinky. :) And very screwed-up. I like.

YES. And despite the way Jack is sometimes an ass about making her call him 'sir' (he's so very afraid of falling hard, isn't he?), and despite the fact that he IS the superior officer, over the years I think the power has totally shifted to Sam in their personal relationship. I think Jack has basically handed it over to her with a bow on top, and Sam realizes it and accepts it, but she doesn't always use it.
There's so much nuance to explore with this pairing!

That's just always the way I've seen their relationship. As much as Jack is visibly in charge, Sam has a certain power over him that I think scares him, and that I think she doesn't always realize herself.

Very nice! I especially liked: He smells like lake water and hints of sweat and just him, only more so, and she can’t quite believe he’s inside of her right now.

I love this Sam - how she both does and doesn't know what she's doing - does and doesn't understand everything going on in this tent.

That...may be the hottest Sam/Jack ever. I love how Sam is in charge here. Sort of.
Oh, my god.
