A lot of times girls only tell their friends the bad things about their bfs because they need someone to give them advice. But when they don't give them the good stuff that their bfs do or the bad things that they do, their friends wind up thinking the relationship is completely fucked up. Sometimes I think a lot of people I know think my relationship with Alex sucks because I only talk to them about it when I am upset or when he's done something stupid. But there are lots of good things too. And there are also times when I am a complete bitch. So I guess you kind of need the whole story before you can actually see what things are really like. Does that make sense? Basically, as Michelle's friend you're almost supposed to feel that way about Carl beccause she probably only tells you the bad in order to get advice but she probably barely tells you the good. I know I am guilty of the same thing sometimes.
ok thank you!!!!! EXACTLY what i tried to explain to both michelle and carl. Of course my views of him are tainted. I'm the person she comes to. i know that... but she shouldn't hold it against me for agreeing with her when she complains about him.
