Still, he allows Uri to scratch the walls of the base as he walks the hallway down to the sleeping areas, certain that the racket the box animal was producing will be loud enough. Sawada has horrendous bed-head and the noise also brings out Yamamoto and Gokudera, but Hibari only focuses on Tsuna.
It feels strange, looking at the younger version of the man he had grudgingly come to respect. Sawada has grown by leaps and bounds, forced by the circumstances of this future. Hibari doesn't know if this Sawada came from this world's past. Whether he did or he didn't, Hibari is sure about one thing. He will not let this Sawada die. He will not fail a second time.
Hibari barely remembers the exchange they had, but he takes with him the memory of Tsuna's uncertain smile, and the renewed hope that he thought had died with the boss.
Tetsuya has his things laid out when he returns to his home, and Hibari dons them on quickly. It takes him fifteen minutes to reach the place where they plant the trap for the Millefiore, and there he waits.
