[KHR;challenge] forced beginnings
Sasagawa Ryohei, Hibari Kyouya

If it weren't for Sawada Tsunayoshi, they probably wouldn't have given each other a second glance. While Sasagawa Ryohei was loud and obnoxious, at least he didn't purposely step on Hibari Kyouya's toes and was all around someone who generally followed rules and didn't cross boundaries. They would have gone on for the rest of their Namimori Junior High life never knowing each other, and perhaps that was for the best.
If Hibari had a choice, well, he probably would have joined the mafia anyway, but if he had known that he would have to be acquainted not only with herbivores, but with the noisest herbivore of all, then perhaps he might have changed his mind. Or joined the Cavallone. Or joined the least herbivore-like mafia group, which may have very well been the Millefiore.
If Ryohei had a choice...well, Ryohei probably wouldn't have fought against anything unless it threatened the well-being of Kyoko, and even then it had to be something physical for him to fight against. Since being asked to join the mafia was hardly something physical, it would be simple to say that Ryohei wouldn't have any choice to make.
Whatever the possibilities were, the reality was that they hadn't any choice at all, and if it weren't for Sawada Tsunayoshi, they probably wouldn't have known each other well enough that ten years down the road, they wouldn't have minded dying for the Tenth Vongola, or for the other guardians, or for each other.
