So I have a confession to make. I just discovered Dangerfield

I have a horrible fascination with tartan clothes and accessories. And also discovered an abundance of them at Dangerfield. never really shopped there before I know, I can feel everyone's judging stares. Don't worry. I'm judging myself. But it's not one of the emo or punk style, if that ( Read more... )

These are fabulous boots! *__*

Ahaha, I can't actually answer your question, though, since I have zero style, unless 'jeans and t-shirt' is a style. /fail But I still had to comment, because <3 Dangerfield! I always go in whenever I see one, and yet never ever buy anything.

Isn't it? *A* Buckles make everything ok. *shot* I need to get proper boots, instead of the ones, that people call fcuk me boots. Ah-hahaa.

That's true. It's horribly expensive, so I was glee at the DFO. It was marked down, so I was quite relieved when I saw the initial price. I think the biggest bargain I got, well it didn't come in my size, but I bought it anyways, which was beside the point, but it was $115 > $90 > $70 > $15. You can't go wrong with that. :') I blame a friend as she and I share a love for coats. I have no idea what is the difference between coats and jackets

Coats are long, jackets are short. I know this only because of an etymology book I read once a couple of years ago. The term 'coat' actually migrated from 'coat of mail', i.e. chain mail, which was typically longer for maximum coverage. Nowadays the only time 'coat' should be used for a waist-length covering is when it's specifically for protection, e.g. a sports coat or a rain coat. I'm sure everyone mixes it up though.

Smart casual monotones! I'm pretty choosy about what I wear, but I work best with a wardrobe of like, five staple pieces I rotate, so I don't need to actually think about what I'm wearing. :'D Dresses are the best because you don't need to coordinate anything, you can just put on one thing and go.

Desu~ Move away from tartan. COME TO THE DARK SIDE. WE WEAR ARGYLE THERE. ♥

You're always fabulous, Karenshoes. *A*b

I normally throw on the first things I see in my closet sadly, or if I do the same clothes two day in a row, when I'm utterly lazy. le gasp! I should get more dresses, I have more skirts and it takes longer to coordinate, because what tshirt or shirt to wear with said skirt. :(

I have argyle knee length socks. :D;; :D;; Does that count? *A*

Nothing wrong with emo/punk/goth styles. Slightly offended at the implication there is. Those boots are awesome and totally something I'd wear.

I think I should have made it more clear. I was trying to state that just because I'm liking tartan, doesn't mean I want to thought as a 'wannable' goth/emo/punk, hence my god forbid comment. Some people automatically assume plaid and tartan, buckle boots = punk or goth.

It's awful stereotyping, I realise. There's nothing wrong with those styles, of course, I'm not arguing oh it's bad or unacceptable. I'm saying to myself personally as they don't suit me.

Of course, you're free to wear what you want, I'm not saying you can't, but I guess I'm paranoid as I live in a semi conservative area. Where people still judge you on your grades, your parents' money and academic standing.

I've always liked just browsing Dangerfield because they have pretty interesting stuff.

Strangely my fashion sense is becoming more and more feminine? if that's the word. Idk why, if you told my teenage self I'd hardly wear pants outside of work in 10 years I'd not have believed it at all, since at that time I refused to wear skirts or dresses aside from my school uniform and performances... I'm like a mishmash of onee-kei and mori on casual days and now included a bit of classic lolita for special occassions ahaha. but you know what, more strangely I've never felt more comfortable and less subconscious wearing what I wear now compared to my awkward self 10 years ago. I think it's cuz I've had a bit of a personality change and also I am more familiar with layers since Melbourne lol.

I just realised the beauty of all the plaid and tartan. And the coats. All the coats. I have a weakness. Someone stop me. ;;

Ah, that's understandable. A friend who was recently a tomboy, is starting to be feminine, i.e with the make up, skirts and what not. It depends on my mood I think, most of the times, when I go to uni, I'm either what to wear or go with the first things in my closet. This is why i look like a loser half the time. :D; I really need to look at my closet and decide what is wearable. OTL Layers I still have some difficulty, I must admit. :(

don't worry, i have a weakness for like everything i can't wear here, coats, leather boots, cardis, scarfs. though i suppose it's a good thing i'm in a hot place so i can't give in to the temptation =P though currently have been dipping my feet into lolita which is just as purse-breaking. fortunately i can't fit into their dubious 'standard' sizes or it'd be worse ohohoho.

I will cage-fight anyone who gives you shit for liking Dangerfield. +__+ ... never heard anything bad about liking DF though. :D

Personally I love looking at DF stuff but I never buy because $$$$$$$$$$$$$ ;AAAAA;

AND THOSE BOOTS
THOOOOOOOOSE
BOOOOOOOOOOOOTS
HHHHHNNNNNGGGGGHHHHH *______* /GRABBY HANDS

For my "style"? I dunno tbh, but I guess I like wearing outfits with a touch of "punk" to it? I don't know if "punk" would be the right way to describe it. But like... I like button-up shirts with vests, or a cute dress with a black blazer. And black boots. Black boots with EVERYTHING. *_* And interesting accessories to match! I'm a bit more partial to punk-ish jewellery. And I seriously have a thing for ear-cuffs right now mmmmm *_____________*

Hahahaa. I think it might be because DF as always thought as hipster field and only people in high school like it. :D;

DF is horribly expensive, however there's one at DFO. And I spent 1/2 just looking at all the tartan skirts before I went back and just stared at the coats. Oh god the coats. Duffle, blazers...short coats, long...oh *g* I have an obsession, I need to stop. I think I own more coats than anything else in my closet.

I want to get one on Boxing Day, although I doubt it will be on sale. :D :D And shirts. I love shirts. I think I should stop getting t-shirts and move onto more shirts. ;A;

Boots. *A* Yessss, that's why I love black boots. They go with anything, although I'm loving military boots more. I don't have accessories, I normally go with a scarf. :D; I think I need to learn how to wear a scarf properly.

Mine is non existent.
