Thanks so much to everyone for reading! This ending is kind of... shall we say, experimental? So if you haven't been reviewing so far, that's fine, but I'd really like to know your final thoughts here.

Wow... The ending is just... :')

I know I haven't commented in any of the other parts but I just wanted to let you know that I've been reading and following this story since part 1. The story line is amazing and the writing is as amazing. :) You make it seem so easy to weave back and forth from your story to the actual show's story.

I, as many others I assume, really wanted the fairy tale happy ending. Barney and Robin falls into bed and live happily ever after. But you know, their version of happily ever after (with the fights and break ups and hot make up sex). Your ending is a lot more real and I just love it!!

Btw I've been reading your story in the morning at work and a couple times I end up teary-eyed and my coworkers would look at me funny. :p

Thanks so much! (and I love the icon!) I love fics with happy endings, but it always seems like that kind of simple happiness would never last, with Barney and Robin. I hated early season five, but the writers did tap into a real issue: if Barney and Robin try to force themselves into a conventional, stable relationship then they lose their awesome, and if they do it their way then passions run high and they have huge, epic fights. This is the way I see a real, lasting BROtp relationship playing out, and I'm so glad you liked it.

Aww... it's finished! Interesting way to end, I think I liked all the possibilities, and you managed to make each one different, yet realistic, and bitter and sweet... so well done! :)

Thanks so much for reviewing every chapter! You really helped keep me excited about posting this. And yeah, this ending kind of came out of the fact that I couldn't decide how an early BR relationship would affect the rest of canon, so I went ahead and wrote more than one variation. Glad you think it worked. And I think I'll always be a little bit in love with wistful/pining Barney from season 4, so that's the image I always close with in my head.

They talk about how Robin loves Ted for the way he looks at her, and no one else has ever looked at her that way, but maybe that doesn’t mean no one else ever could. What she feels with Ted is nice, and maybe once it would have been enough, but not anymore. She can already feel all the ways Ted wants to change her, and she’s not so sure she wants to change.

They talk about how they love each other, but there are lots of ways to love someone.

kljdhasd oh god this part was perfect and painful because it's just very well written and quite really describes a scenario I have experienced, so that got quite emotional. That was beautiful.

“Hi, I’m Barney, you want to go home with me?”This really has nothing to do with anything, but this would be way more likely to work on me than any of his tricks because I respect people who are upfront and honest, hahaha

Thanks! That's definitely an experience I've had IRL as well, and it's probably why I empathize with Robin so strongly.

I've never understood why Barney needs to resort to elaborate lies. He's Neil Patrick Harris. Most sane women would totally sleep with Neil Patrick Harris, if he wasn't gay. Certainly the average woman on the prowl in a bar would have no problem going home with the charming, sexy stranger. Which suggests that Barney just enjoys creating these fantasy worlds, even when they actually make it less likely that he'll score.

So, yeah, thank you, again. Not sure if/when I'll post something else HIMYM-related; this was mostly a way to get myself excited about writing again, but I have a couple of longer, book-based fics going on FFnet that I should probably get back to. I suppose it all depends how the muse strikes me, as always.
