Dear dumbass stupid self: Just because you normally use a particular pan on the stove doesn't mean that the handle on it won't be hot if you attempt to grab it barehanded after using it in a 400 degree oven. Just sayin'.

*Goes to nurse the lovely 2nd degree burns on my left hand.*

(This from someone who had an angel food cake pan fall down on her forearm at age 11, still has the scar from that burn, and has never made another angel food cake since.)

Burns suck. :( On the upside, at least you're smart enough not to put butter on it and make it worse. I had a friend who did that because he'd been told that butter will help burns, and he made it even worse than it was. :/
