I'm not ready to accept Blake. I can get past the beatboxing but that open-mouthed gape to the right between lines has got to stop.

I could go for either Melinda or Jordin.

i can't sit through an entire episode of AI, but I agreed with your assessment on Blake's first 2 songs completely (I only saw he and Melinda's songs tonight) he's so karaoke. I actually felt like I was playing Karaoke Idol rather than watching the real show. Do you know if that was "When I Get You Alone" originally performed by Robin Thicke? it's an old song off his very first cd, and if so, I think that's a good choice for Blake, but I still don't think that could save him. He really needs his own style rather than doing impressions, and I'm so sick of his beatboxing.

As for Melinda, she's great and she knows it. The Whitney Houston song... she did the best she could, but I think she needed more time to make it her own. She's still the best even at her most average though. The competition was a no brainer this year.

I saw from Blake's second song to the end, so that's where my opinion starts.

I've got to say that while the top wasn't flattering, at least the outfit Melinda wore during her second song showed that she has a NECK. As usual, I'm all for her, down with Blake, though he's grown on me.

Jordin's last song was just amazing. I wonder if she has a boy (girl?) back home she was singing that to. I also loved her interrupting Ryan to ask about the age of the song, correcting Simon!
