St. Augustine's in the 70s, man... the advent of the Folk Mass!
They did songs from Godspell and introduced Baptist/gospel numbers formerly unheard of in our gothic RC church. My sister and I practically ran to mass on Sundays to rock out! Day By Day! Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord! And a round they used to do during the preparing of gifts, "love, love, love, love. Christians, this is your call. love your neighbor as yourself for God loves us all." Simple, but a folk choir with their 300-part harmonies and acoustic guitars running that until the priest was done always gave us chills.
That kick-ass folk choir is still there, singing at the 10:30. Same people and everything.

Also my favorite was "Go Tell It on the Mountain"
