why can't he be evil?
I loved Steerpike in Gormanghast ( played by Jonathan Rhys Meyer)
and Boy!!! was he evil, petty and mean.

evil? oh my dear he is shades of grey as are all things. And evil is a point of view. He is a strong character who doesn't flinch when things that need doing turn unpleasant. That is not in itself evil, is it?
