how to use supportviewscreened?

Okay, so, as a new I1 (hi everybody), I was going through all the memories and stuff, and realized I had a question. If I'm looking at a request with screened answers that I think are missing some stuff, am I allowed to write my own response that includes some of the ideas from the previous responses, as well as what I think is missing? Hi, Beki (Gunk SH) here. I'm only SH in gunk so while what I say may apply cross categories it should be taken as being gunk only.

Generally you shouldn't let what you see in another screened answer change what you write for your own answer; screened answers are screened answers because they could be wrong. Even when I leave a screened answer on a gunk request as a SH in the category I leave it for someone else to look over because I could be wrong. So go with what you know, accept that there will be other interpretations, and don't let what you see in other answers confuse or influence you.

I1 is one of the biggest jumps in understanding how the board works, but ultimately support works the same way whatever priv level you are. See http://www.livejournal.com/doc/guide/support.bml#I1 for a bit more help.

I have a slightly different opinion than beki, but let me first put forth that this is an opinion from my experience as a support vol- from screened on up to admin, but not an adminly opinion ( ... )
