Ooh, you did write it! I love the "I could carry you." "No you can't." conversation, and "You could just lay there and I’ll do most of the work." HA! So Jack. And the conversation with Sheppard at the end is really nice.

Okay, I'd somehow totally avoided knowing that SPN was one of Novik's fandoms, so I was all stoked...and then...Wincest. Wah. *pouts*

Well, I don't know if *all* of it is Wincest, but I think the majority is. She's not really good about posting warnings on her fic page, but better about it in her fandom journal, in the initial fic postings. Total shame, because her fic is so awesome! Boo. :(

I always feel bad for saying/thinking things like "I wish this author wrote less of this ship/genre/fandom and more of the stuff I like," because, hello, it's fanfic, the whole point is for them to do what they want. But. *flails* SPN fic by Naomi Novik! That I can't read because it will squick my brain! *flails some more*

I know, right? I do the same thing sometimes (especially when I see a favorite author write Jack fic and it's slash! WOE! Jack O'Neill is so NOT slash-able to me).

If I have time I will look back through astolat's SPN fic and see if I can find any that's not Wincest. For both of us! Because NAOMI NOVIK SPN FIC!

I always love book recs. I'll just add this to the already ridiculously long list. By the time I'm like 80 I might have caught up with all the ones I've gotten recently. =)

GLEE! It is all around us today and I love it!

Ha, sorry about the book list. Mine looks like that too. And, unfortunately, the latest book in this series is #5. But they are super-fast, fun reads, imo. It's just such an interesting, creative series. Take the Master and Commander series and cross with Pern. Voilà! Awesome sci/fantasy.
