Everyone says the work areas are more dangerous now, but at least the mines are open again. The money's less too, but it's better than nothing. There were so many people coming to our mother because of starvation last month-- maybe they'll be working towards making things better now. Lady's milk alone can't help the whole district.

I don't know what we're going to do if the mines don't reopen soon. People are starving already; with no income, Parcel Day food isn't enough. The new Peacekeepers burned down the Hob, so there's no more illegal trading. The mines have been closed, so there's little income. People say there's a new gallows in the square.

I don't know what we're going to do.

Katniss left this morning. She's going on the Victory Tour, traveling all across the country to visit all the other districts in Panem. We'll be watching it all on television of course, and she'll be home again in twelve days-- but it won't be the same without her here and Peeta next door.

When this is over, I hope things can be happier again.

It doesn't feel like it's been almost six months.

I'm normal again!

Does that mean everyone else is, too?

I'd never seen someone killed in person before. It was different from when Mom's patients have died, or even from when I've seen someone die on television during the games.

I really, really hope I never see something like it again.
