He was still stunned. The President actually considered him to... well, considering his experiences in Raccoon City, it wasn't that suprising, but still...add the whole thing of him saving Ashley from the Los Illuminados and Saddler's plans, that probably helped President Graham with the decision.

Claire had arrived a few hours earlier than she had expected; it didn't matter really since she ended up taking a nap in her car. She was tempted to see if Leon left any doors or windows unlocked, but she wasn't going to chance that and get taken to jail without good purpose.

By the time Leon arrived, Claire was wide awake and walking around so she didn't have to spend the whole time in her car. She looked up when she heard his door slam and a smile quickly came to her face. He didn't take as long as she thought, which was a good thing because she didn't have to pull him out of work by his collar.

"Leon!" She waved over at him before she started walking over to him. Now that he was here Claire was hoping that she looked somewhat decent. "I was starting to think I had to bail you out of work."

His expression lightened as he saw Claire, despite the fact that the feeling he had didn't go away. He knew it wasn't from her, and hopefully the drinks would help him calm down a bit. His mind was racing, random thoughts running through his head as he was trying to figure it out. He gave her a small smile, shaking his head. "I don't think that would've turned out so well, especially considering the whole promotion thing," he said with a chuckle.

"So...where do you want to go? I know a few places around here."

"I guess you're right about that.. Who knows, they might give you another promotion for putting the crazy lazy away." Claire shoved her hands into her pockets as she rocked back and fourth on her heels. She couldn't believe how long it had been since she last saw Leon; sure they talked on the internet, but it wasn't the same as seeing him in person.

"Since I don't really know where anything is around here, I suggest you lead the way or we'll end up getting lost or at a crappy place."

He let out a soft chuckle at that comment. It helped that she was trying to make him feel better about the situation, it really did. But even so, something about what Harvey had told him earlier when they had talked just...struck something with him.

But now wasn't the time to be thinking about that, he knew that. This was supposed to be a time for them to celebrate Leon's promotion, and dammit, they were going to have some fun.

"Alright, then. Come on." He gestured to his car, a small smile on his face.
