I am grieved to say that our beloved and only pet, a beta named Xavier, passed away this morning. Xavier, your crabby beta looks will be sorely missed.

Oh, I'm so sorry. It's always hard to lose a pet-child.

You know, he was just a fish, but I sort of liked the little gill-breathing creature. We knew that he wasn't well, but still when we noticed he was dead today I was like, oh no!!!! Poor fish!

But betas only usually live for a year or two. For him to live for three shows how well we took care of him.

I'm sorry! Betas are pretty fish. Amazing that he lived so long -- you guys really must have taken fabulous care of him.
