I had to give fandom up, but I've accomplished my goal. I finished my first play, a musical. It's a comedy/action/adventure/romance and I've really enjoyed my hand at trying something new. I found through fanfic writing that my strongest medium is through dialogue, and will continue with that. I will be getting together with the local writer's

I wish you all the best and a lot of success! You know, I stumbled over this post because I just spent 30 minutes scouring the internet for that "odd couple"series of yours, which I read years ago. It was hysterical. So I'm grateful for the time you spent in fandom. Just in case you still get a notice about my comment: please, please consider putting your stuff on the archiveofourown, so it won't be lost should you decide to leave. You also have the option of creating an "orphan account", so you can just leave your stuff there and never look back (or, in a couple of years, look back very fondly and it will still be there, though not necessarily linked to you.
Anyway, thank you so much for the time you spent writing for us lurkers, I for one appreciated it greatly.
