Silly stuff!

Clark waited as patiently as he could for Lex’s chauffeur to come down the drive.
Some days Lex could come over, and some not. His boyfriend had to do other studies on top of what was expected of a Smallville grade school student. Some days he learned history, others he learned French and Spanish, and still others were days Lillian had him listen in to his meetings if he wanted. Clark missed him so much on these days, and would stare out of the window a lot instead of doing his homework.
But Lex actually liked doing more work.
He still helped Clark with his homework too, if he had any trouble.
Though Clark really only wanted Lex time.
“Lex!”
“Clark-ooph!”
Clark pounced on Lex as soon as he got out.
Clark didn’t know why, but he just had to.
“Want Lex hug!”
“Okay, okay.” Lex was real good about giving hugs.
“Now want Lex kiss!” Clark said only slightly less loudly.
“Sorry, I’m fresh out.”
“Huh? What happened to them?” Clark pouted.
“Someone took them all away.”
“They did?”
“Yeah. They’re in a safety deposit box. In China.” Lex pointed down.
Oh, no!
Clark started digging with his hands into the dirt.
“What are you doing?”
“I gotta make a hole to China! Pete said if you keep digging you’d end up there.”
Lex stopped him.
“I was just teasing. No one took them away.”
“No fair!” Clark turned away and watched the wheat.
He didn’t like this game.
He felt fingers touch his lips from behind.
“As long as I have these, you can always get a Lex kiss.”
Clark spun back.
“What if I put my kisses in China?”
“Then I’d bring mine there to meet them.”
And Clark knew it was okay again. Lex really only was teasing.
“That’s okay. I like ‘em right here even more.”
And Clark got his Lex kiss. A soft brush of red that tingled him down to his toes.
“Let’s get the homework out of the way.”
“Don’t need to. I did it all myself today!”
Lex grabbed his book from the car and walked with him.
“I’ll check up on them, just to be sure.”
“‘Kay. Whatcha reading?”
“Standard Latin Verbs.”
“What story is that?”
“It’s a language, not a story.”
“Another one? How many words do you have to know?” And Lex knew a lot, because he sometimes read the dictionary too. For fun, of all things.
“Many if I want to be great.”
“You’re funny.”
“Why?” Lex gave a grumpy look which Clark had to soften by smiling at him.
“‘Cause you’re already great! Even without buckets of words.”
“Thanks.” And Lex smiled back.
“I wanna play after.” They should have more time for everything, but Lex always had to go home. Maybe if he asked his mom nice, they could even have a sleep over and a pillow fight.
“What would you like to do? Besides kiss.” Lex almost always asked him first what he wanted. Even if he wanted to read or study more.
“Board game!”
“I didn’t know you liked chess. I have my board at home.”
“No, not that. I’ve got Sorry and Candyland and Shoots and Spladders!”
Lex seemed confused.
“You pick then.”
“It’ll be fun! You’ll see!”
“Does it have strategy?” They walked up the stairs to Clark’s loft.
“What’s that?”
“Never mind. Does it have a bank?”
“No, but I’ve got a piggy bank. I’ve got fourteen cents I found!” He told Lex proudly.
“Is there a war?”
“There’s dice. And cards. But no candy for Candyland. I tasted to be sure.”
Lex shrugged as they reached the fuzzy couch to study.
“If you like them, they can’t be all bad.”
Clark pounced on him again to show how much he liked the idea.
Lex felt so warm and good that he could take a nap, leaning on his shoulder.
“Mmm...like Lex best.”
“I like Clark best too.”
Lex put an arm around him as they settled to check his homework.
“Ah, Clark?”
“Yeah?”
“You got this one wrong.”
“You sure?”
“I’m fairly certain two times two does not equal Clark'an'Lex4eva, hearts, a smiley face and a rainbow.”
Clark giggled.
“Well, it should!”
