Currently can only eat out of half my mouth. If anything touches the left side of my mouth it hurts. A lot. It's all swollen and sore. Which means that things are being swallowed slightly more whole than normal. Not normally a huge problem, only the same sickness that made my mouth swell also made my throat swell so it kinda hurts to swallow ( Read more... )

Yeah but already went to doctor and am on antibiotics. Figured I'd give it until the entire course of antibiotics is run (next tues) before I went back...no?

Rich ended up in the hospital with similar symptoms, and he was already on antibiotics. An infection in his tooth had spread to his sub-lingual tissue, and they had to drain it. He was on IV antibiotics for four days. By the time he had been put on the pills, before he landed in the hospital, the infection had already settled in so much that the pills didn't do a thing.

If I were you, I'd call my doctor and tell him that you were still having swelling. Is the mouth swelling new, or has it been there all along?

Some of it (the sore part, not really the swollen part, but the part that hurts worse) appears to be the result of the whole wisdom tooth thing - mine are finishing coming in and they rub the inside of my mouth raw in the process. Ow. The swelling part seems to be more minor and that seems to be a part of the sinus infection thing - at least i'm assuming it is since everything got swollen because of that. It was on both sides of my mouth but the right side has gone away. Which is weird because the right side is the side that was hit worse by the sinus infection.

OH PLUS my ears still kinda hurt a little occasionally. So I figure it's all sinus infection misery and the biotics should kill it all except perhaps the wisdom tooth thing and I really probably need to go to a dentist eventually about that.

Didn't know you had been to the doctor already. Yes your right finish the course first.

Have yo been noticing any improvements at all ? Hopefully this Antibiotic will work for you this summer I had some throat infection that took 2 different antibiotics to knock out and I think the first course really didn't have any effect.

If your not improved by the end of the antibiotics do hit the doctor again and even if you are keep a careful watch lately these things seem to get better enough then flame back up gain.
