So after every major explosion comes the calm and rebuilding. I have to remind myself that whenever my uncle blows up at me and I bring up valid points, just because he derides me, seems to reject them out of hand and not listen, does not in fact mean that when he regains a sense of perspective he won't consider them and actually change his stance

Calm and rebuilding is good. It sounds like you might want to return to this entry the next time he's being a pain in the sit-upon...he's got a lot of stuff going on there, and speaking at a distant remove from your uncle but very close to you, I get the sense that you really do get on well. I'm relieved that CT is not the ninth level as previously feared, and I'll try to catch you on AIM when you return.
