Yeah, it can be a real shame when there's an absolutely awesome concept and plot, but terrible execution. On the other hand....I've seen fanfics with the simplest plot devices clocking up 10,000 words+, and more often then not, it works. XD Of course, it's even more amazing when both the epic plot and epic writing skills combine together to form a fanfic worth reading! <3
