Only I would run into a co-worker (from the cricket club) in Florence at a museum looking at Michelangelo's David. Like Brian said, I am a magnet.

I loved Florence!!! Did you get to see the bronze David too or only the original one?

We only saw Michelangelo's because the museums were closing early and it was the closest one to where we were at the time. I plan to go back to see the Uffizi and others.

Got any places you rec checking out?

Hot damn, this sounds like a ton of fun! It's unfortunate your friends had to leave but it sounds like you had a good time while they were still there, so it works out :D

LOL, I loved the angle they placed the benches near David at. It's like, yes, his finely-sculpted ass *IS* finely sculpted, we get it.

And those costumes/floats/etc. look amazing ;_; Jealoouuuuus.
