Goodbye George Carlin

I just read tonight that comedian George Carlin died Sunday evening from heart failure. He was an icon to stand-up comedy and his influence can be felt in many other comedians today. His own sort of observational humor sometimes dark and sometimes vulgar would influence comedians like Lewis Black, Jon Stewart, and Jerry Seinfeld.

I think so too. Carlin was one of my favorite stand-up comics. He had a lot of great routines and a lot that make you think. I don't know how into stand-up you are but he was definitely one of the best

The frisbee comment is so true. You saw my opinions on the CSC board I am sure, so I don't need to repeat them, but I will say that usually when a celebrity dies it has little to no impact on me. This one has; Carlin was a comedic God and influenced so many of my favorites (the guys you mentioned, plus Kevin Smith) and the comedic genre as a whole. He will be missed dearly.
