I’ve rewatched this episode several times preparing for this and on each rewatch I have just been warmed by Cas trying hard to be human and Dean and Cas’ feelings for each other as well as the obvious concern by Sam, and all the feels for Cas’ depression at having lost his mojo. FINALLY I have found time to sit down and read this!! I'm sorry it took me forever, but I'm so happy I got to at last. It was worth the wait. <3

Cas here, feeling so vulnerable, so scared, and Dean telling him to just keep safe and have a normal life… man… the feels.
Right? My heart!
He made the call just so he could get some blood to shoot himself up with. I am thinking that maybe Kevin's blood, with all that hurt and anger, tastes better? or he is afraid of becoming more human by ingesting Sam's blood?Yeah, it's a really good question! Along the vein of what you said about the "taste" of Kevin's blood - I wonder if all ( ... )
