Pet Action!

Today is Audrey's sports day and I promise I will have more on that later but, here is a vid of our hamster, Hamutaro, to tie us over. He's getting a bit chubby and had a hard time righting himself when he fell over backwards :D

Isn't he :D Hamutaro is a character in an anime about some hamsters. Hamu is for Hamster, taro is the base of a boy's name. sometimes used on it's own, sometimes with something in front.

Oh! He's adorable. Do you ever let him out of his cage to run around and get some exercise? Does he have an exercise wheel? That would slim him down a bit, I think.

He does have a wheel and Audrey plays with him outside of the cage, but basically he is in there most of the day. We have also heard that giving them too much exercise makes them so fast it is hard to catch them when they run away so I guess there is that balance ... :P He's probably getting way too many sunflower seeds :D

It's too bad they don't sell diet sunflower seeds for hamsters. ;>)
