I LOVED Season 6!!! Except...[Spoiler (click to open)]the fact that AmeniGod can invisibly come back to check in on his son while Lucifer cannot. That really does not make sense. I loved all the reminder scenes from previous seasons, I loved all the flashbacks, I loved the last "I love you"s by Lucifer to everyone! Beautiful and cry-worthy. Rob Benedict is a terrible

RIGHT?! Not convinced. That circle of not being there for his daughter so he could save her is really weird too. I think they must have started out with one idea then changed it mid season. Maybe they were going to kill him off and decided against or something, because... weird.
The ending felt cheap and contrived. Rather like SPN, actually, and if it weren't that lead and production times were so screwed because of COVID I'd wonder if they lifted it. (Still not ruling it out, just giving them the benefit of the doubt.)
I honestly would rather have a *solid* ending, happy or sad, than have these hacks keep yanking heartstrings right out of their sockets in a desperate attempt to justify their stock in Kleenex. I mean, I'm not going to cry just because these fucks want me to, because *I don't cry at this stuff* in the first place, so these horrible, unskilled attempts at invoking emotion just make me *annoyed*.
I enjoyed the goodbye scenes for this show much more than Supernatural. Could be because I was expecting more from SPN? Or maybe because I was just not happy with (most of) the last couple of seasons? Maybe because the lines were dumber? The actors' hearts weren't into it? LOL Don't know.
Yeah, the writing on the SPN finale was extremely poor. I mean, it had been going downhill for a long time, but the finale was a special kind of terrible. (My *God*, that Epic Death Speech sucked.) Ackles is good, but even he can't spin horsecrap into gold. And the other one had been phoning it in since before I stopped watching.
And expecting more would be understandable; they'd had fifteen years of buildup! :)

I thought it was an okay ending, but was bugged by the same thing as you.
