Lovely pics! The baked goods look yummy.

The Time Traveler's Wife is so well-written but it absolutely gutted me emotionally, lol. I remember just SOBBING over it as I neared the end.

Wow, the baked goods look so yummy! I'm pleased your kids take after you in wanting to do things their way, despite the trail and error involved!

I read both novels at school and your summary is spot on, I think both writers had crystal balls or time machines, as it's so scarily accurate -

What Fahrenheit 451 and 1984 have in common is the use of surveillance technology by government to control the people(which is amazing considering this book was written in the late 1940s), the movement toward simplifying language and destroying literature to discourage individuality, imagination and thought and of course the use of war to validate the governing system and keep the people cowed and busy.

It is frustrating sometimes LOL but I guess it means they have good imaginations 😆

So scary but makes me so grateful for what we have!

Yum, the baked goods look so delicious! And I like the pretty acorns.

I read the Percy Jackson books and loved them. Especially the parts with Bessie, the cow serpent. Moo!

Also loved Fahrenheit 451. .I read the book and saw the movie a long time ago, and it made a big impression.

The parts with Bessie were fun! I can see how Fahrenheit 451 would make a good movie :)
