I really like the idea of the Men of Letters school, too, wouldn't that be a great way for Sam to (eventually) retire from hunting? He's always been a scholar and loves that sort of thing so much... the way his face lit up when he was listening to Mick talk about it <3
( ... )
Gah, ok, this is what comes from not paying attention to names. You´re right. But I do get a feeling he suspects just from the fact he brings up that specific case. We´ll see.
And the fact that DEAN HAD NOTICED that the psychic girl had been killed and PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER.<3<3<3
I don't think Dean knows she's dead though? He was giving her as an example of giving 'monsters' a second chance. Mick knows they killed her, but he doesn't say anything about that, and I really didn't read this as Dean knowing they did kill her.
So anyway... the case in this ep was solid, but I couldn't give it more then an OK, because I just can't like Claire. I've tried, but she's just so annoying to me; I just can't care for her, which took out a lot of the tension in this ep for me. I really didn't care whether she lived or died.
Loved the boys in it though, and Mick is growing more and more on me. <3
I don't really like Claire, so the rating I gave reflects that. I really hope Mick learned something here about hunting not always being black&white. And if the (B)MoL think that hunters are stupid and only useful as the muscle in the field, they will be in for a surprise, because Dean was a walking lie detector and and Sam was sucking up the BMoL research like a sponge. :)
I agree with spike above that I don't think that Dean had noticed psychic!Magda being dead. And in "Heart" the boys did not know about the BMoL cure. I guess there had been other attempts for a cure, but the BMoL one is the only one known with a non-zero failure rate.
I got confused with the names, thanks for pointing it out 😊
Well in Heart, they had an antidote in dad´s journal that used the blood of the sire. That is the solution Sam was counting on to save Madison. But it didn't work. If it was the same antidote, though, the only difference would be that Madison had fed.
And this episode showed us a new side to Mick, so wouldn't be surprised if there ended up being some final conflict with the BMoL where he ended up siding with Sam and Dean. i get the impression this was his first ever kill as well, so that must do something with the guy.

Mick is definitely turning. It will be interesting to see how that influences the BMoL mission in the USA :)
